Māori cultural Educational experience
Come and learn about our culture as we customise our cultural educational program just for you and your needs, within two hours you will have the opportunity to learn a haka and a poi dance yourself, you will learn about who we are as a people, our history, our stories of life now and our dreams and hopes for the future. You will learn our traditional games and activities and you will leave feeling a part of our family and us a part of yours.
Waimārama is a very special place and is absolutely beautiful where ever we end up. The location in Waimārama will be chosen on the day dependant on your needs, the weather and number of visitors. We could be at our Marae, on the shore, the riverside or even our Māori owned camping ground on our whenua facing our beautiful island Te Motu o Kura where you can also purchase an ice cream on our very hot days and beautiful Māori kai from our own Uncle Edz cafe.
Echoes of Waimārama was born to share the beauty of our land, hear our stories and feel the warmth of being welcomed like whānau. It's more than a educational program - it's a glimpse into our lives, our history, and our hopes for the future.
